The motivation stated: Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen are honored with Bindesbøll Medal because they through their cooperation in Komplot Design have created numerous experimental and distinctive, often trendsetting new examples of excellent furniture – especially chairs – which has renewed and further developed the concept of Danish furniture design at a high artistic level and with wide international reach.
